Green Tips

Sonic updated the blog with a post including "Green Tips" that you can use around the house to go green! I know I will be following his tips because they ROCK! Here is the post:

Heya Monkeys, this is Sonic4572 and I want to share some tips with you about being green!  We really need to protect the environment so spread the news to everybody in your school, or everybody that you know!

Let's get started!! ^.^  It is really fun if you know that you are helping the environment!

• If your school is close to your home, you can always walk to it, or even ride a bike. The energy you will be wasting is.. yours. But,it's worth it if you know that you are helping the environment :-) Your parents might even offer to take you to school walking! Cars use a lot of gasoline which causes pollution to the air and harms the environment.

• Turn off the water faucet. Most people leave the tap on while brushing their teeth or soaping up. You might not believe it but A LOT of water can be wasted that way!  If you turn the water faucet off it saves water AND a bit more time!

• Plant a garden at school or home. Right now I have a garden at my school AND at my house. If your school doesn't have one (or even your home) you can just ask your teacher or parents and then..you might be able to plant one. And remember that you can even get extra credit and some cool rewards from your parents! :-) (But if you dont get a reward, just remember that you are saving the environment,a GREAT reward)

• Turn off any energy appliances! Some people finish watching T.V, playing video games,etc... but they don't turn them off! And that can waste A LOT of energy.

• Help endangered animals. You might find some animals that are endangered and some companies, and websites try to save them..Like Minimonos!  You can donate money to those companies to help save the animals. Right now, tigers are endangered and we want to help them. Click here to get a tiger suit on MiniMonos and help save tigers!

You can use these tips at home or at school. These tips are REALLY going to help the environment! Imagine if EVERYBODY uses these tips -- it would be awesome! :-) Spread the word to your friends, neighbors and family, and tell them to help the environment. BE GREEN! :-D
