MonkeyRock here, and this post is dedicated to the recent natural disasters in Missouri, and around the Mississippi river. As you know, this has caused great devastation around the world, but for us MiniMonos players there are some more concerns.
Firstly, one of our fellow, famous, MiniMonos players, MiniJghRocks has been affected by a tornado the other day. MiniJghRocks has played a big part in the MiniMonos community, and only the other day he hosted one of the biggest MiniMonos parties of all time, the Pirates vs Ninjas Party! MiniJghRocks not only lost his own house in this tornado, but he also lost many of his possessions (what he owned) in this tornado. He also has to put up with the devastation of everything he has lost. MiniJghRocks is also an awesome monkey, and is very friendly to everymonkey as well!
Here is what MiniJghRocks had to say about the tornado:
Hey Monkeys! miniJghrocks here! If you haven't heard, my hometown and state were recently hit by many very powerful and deadly tornadoes. The most powerful, deemed to be an EF5 tornado, hit my very town, and my house. As an effect, my entire house, along with about 150 others surrounding it, we entirely destroyed. Nearly my entire neighborhood was flattened, or damaged. Luckily, (Or not so luckily :S) tornadoes are very common where I live, so the death total only came to 4. The sad part is, two deaths were one of a 15-month old baby, and a three year old.
As for the personal effects to me, my entire house was lost. Luckily, we got out with enough time to collect all irreplaceable belongings and pets, so all of those survived the deadly storm. At first, we didn't know our house was destroyed, but we had assumed. The roads were so bad, we couldn't get in until 2 days after to see. The result was a pile of debris where a house used to stand. Passing by on the way, the damage was just... amazing. I mean, there was a car in a tree, a swing set twisted over backwards on a playground.
Now, to give you an idea of how strong this was, picture this:
There was a group of three 20,000 ton oil tankers together. After the tornado, two were left. Where was the third one? It was over a mile away from the other two, having been lifted up by the tornado. After further inspection, they saw no scratch marks on it, meaning it FLEW through the air to where it landed without touching the ground once. Just imagine that.
Now, the response by our community and surrounding ones was amazing. People have been donating clothes, searching for missing people, helping salvage whatever can be, and more.
I would like to thank everyone who has helped us. While personally we're fine, others aren't so lucky, maybe not having insurance, having lost the life of a family member, etc. So, thank you all for being so supportive! You totally ROCK!
Thanks all you monkeys, pandas, penguins, humans, aliens, martians, or whatever combination of any of those you are. You all really do rock :-)

As well as MiniJghRocks, thousands of other people have been affected by these natural disasters affecting America, so our thoughts are with them in these tough times!
I will not go into detail about what has happened here, but here are some points about what happened! (Taken from Channel One News / MiniMonos Island)
- These disasters have killed more than 120 citizens
- These tornadoes were the deadliest to hit the U.S in 60 years
- They have hit 6 miles long and 1/2 mile wide
- They have FLIPPED and destroyed businesses, trees, and cats
- Phones and Powerlines have been knocked out
- The governor has declared Joplin a state of emergency
- Multi Vortex tornadoes were occurred
- Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, and Arkansas are victims, and they are still in danger zones.
- It may take weeks or MONTHS for the water occurred by the flood to officially drain out
- It is too dangerous to walk in areas with floods due to the water being toxic from the items from the home getting in the water
- Snakes and Alligators may also be lurking in the flood waters
- Debris is all over the area.
- Water levels are higher than they have ever been before
- Surging water downstream at 9 gallons PER MINUTE
- Walls are against the Mississippi and Smaller Rivers stretching around 3,500 miles along
- If you put the walls end to end, they would be bigger than the Great Wall Of China
In these tough times we will think about these people in need, so as a comment on this post could you please express your thoughts on this! Say what you think about this disaster! Give a message to MiniJghRocks and other victims to wish him good luck with restoration or other things! Or you can make some pictures for the victims of these disasters! Be creative and you can do ANYTHING!

I was just on MiniMonos on my other account GoGreen and I noticed something! MiniMonos has made three small updates, which nobody has yet posted about!
First, a very TINY update, MiniMonos has replaced the "LANGUAGE" flag setting on the top-right of MiniMonos with a settings button! If you click the settings button, you will be lead to the settings section of your monkey's playercard, where you can change the language from English to Spanish, enable and disable sound AND put on or take off sleep walking for your monkey!
Here is what the symbol looks like:

The next small update is, when you go to somebody else's TreeHouse on MiniMonos, there is a button at the top to go to that monkey's playercard! Awesome :) Here is what the button look's like!

And the final and biggest update, MiniMonos has changed the Top Banana Card! It can now be clicked on at the top left for all monkeys that have earned their Green Banana, but not a Top Banana yet. Here is what it looks like on your monkey screen:
Nice! Also, MiniMonos has changed the steps you need to do to become a Top Banana, and changed the layout of the Top Banana Card! They are now a bit easier and awesomer! Here is what the new Top Banana Card looks like:
The steps you need to follow to become a Top Banana are:
1. Collect 100 Clouds in Monkey Flight
2. Take a photo of 3 monkeys on stage at Bimin
3. Recycle 100 Items in R.A.T.S
4. Buy something from the Traderz Catalogue
5. Clean the Lagoon then wait for the fish to return (the next day)
6. Collect 3 Baskets of Strawberries playing Grow
7. Earn your White Armbands in Monkey Fist
The rewards that you get for completing your Top Banana Card are:
-Two Extra Hair Cuts (non-gold)
- A Top Banana icon next to your name on MiniMonos
- Stuff for your treehouse
- A Top Banana T-Shirt for your monkey
Woohoo! These are all the updates! Please keep in mind that MINIMONOS FIRE was the FIRST to post about this, so if you find out about the update and then post it from this post, you MUST link to MiniMonos Fire Blog and give us, and MonkeyRock credit! Woot Monkeys! I really like this update! It looks awesome, has better challenges AND is easier for find for monkeys that are new to the island! Also, for the treehouse-journal update and the settings button updates, they are ultra cool as well!

Once again, MiniMonos Fire has an awesome exclusive, and me (MonkeyRock) was the first to find it and post about it! (So if you post about it, once again, please give credit to MiniMonos Fire
I was on MiniMonos and remembered that during last year's Earth Day party, there was a "Happy Earth Day" power! I tried it and look what i found!
If you were on during last year's Earth Day party, you would have probably got the earth day flag, which looked like this:
If you have this flag, you can go to any room on MiniMonos and a MiniMonos Earth Day symbol will fly across your screen, and the Earth Day symbol gets imprinted with dark green onto the ground like this:
Awesome job MiniMonos! But wait, that's not all! Sneaky Badger has sneaked in a sneaky update! So sneaky :P
If you go to Awunga Cave, say Happy Earth Day, then click on the monkey imprinted on the ground's head, so you are in the middle of the picture! After that, say Happy Earth Day again, and then click on the dark green patch on the tree, and the tree will start talking! All that the talking tree says (For Now) is "Hehe! I'm a talking tree!"

As good as this update is, it is a shame that it only works for monkeys that have the flag, but who knows, MiniMonos might give out the flag again this year! Woohoo!

Awesome! Does this mean there will be an Easter Egg Hunt on MiniMonos like there was last year? I hope so, because that was really FUN!

Hey monkeys! MonkeyRock here, and while I was reading some things i came across something awesome, and i'm PRETTY sure it is true!
While i was reading through an article on the site SocialTimes.com about how bananatastic MiniMonos is, i came across a site that said during the MiniMonos launch, they will be allowing us to adopt 2 more orangutans!
Here is what they said in the article exactly:
On April 1st MiniMonos will have a week long launch party and let players adopt 2 orangutans. I think that MiniMonos will adopt 2 orangutans during the Orangutan Go Bananas Thursday party, and probably will adopt one at each of the two parties!
Woohoo! I love the idea of helping out the earth even more and that MiniMonos enables us to do that.

Ok monkeys! Only a teeny update that happened a while ago but was only just discovered by MiniMonos Fire Blog Owner, Marbot, MiniMonos has added two new tasks to the top banana card! They look pretty AWESOME!
The new tasks are:
-Earn white arm bands (On Monkey Fist)
-Collect 3 strawberry baskets (On GROW)
The other small update is that the server Cyclops has left for now! It will probably be back soon though!
Awesome updates MiniMonos! We, MiniMonos Fire are the first blog to post about this and to notice the change of the top banana card, YAY!

As you may know, its St. Patrick's day, mainly celebrated in Ireland.I logged in, and don't ask me how but I noticed something (and think i am the first monkey to notice, sneaky badger :P) So unless you noticed on your own and you want to post about it, it would be appreciated if you gave the link of this blog to show where you got it from!
When you login to MiniMonos and go to any room, you can say "erin go bragh"and then shamrocks fall down your screen! AWESOME! You may remember it from last year when MiniMonos had the same thing for a party!
